About   Me

hey friend!

Come on in and get to know me a little better.  My heart is centered around my faith and family and has shaped who I am today. I, like most of you, wear many hats, but here are the most important ones:

i'm so glad you are here!

WIFE

I guess you could call us high school sweethearts, but truth be told, I was in middle school when we first met.  Jimmy is the only guy I ever dated and 8 years later we were married. He's quiet, reserved and embarrassed by my obnoxious laugh. Deep down he's the goofy one that keeps us laughing.

Jimmy is also my biggest cheerleader. He's supported me in every endeavor throughout our marriage.  He often accompanies me on portrait shoots and is my right hand on wedding days.

Mom

Never in a million years did it cross my mind that becoming a mom would be challenging. It has definitely been a journey that we never imagined, but one I wouldn't trade for the world. After years of infertility, one biological child as well as pregnancy loss, we grew our family through adoption. It's a story for another day, but one that was absolutely written by God. The fact that I am a mom to 4 still amazes me! If you are around me very long, you will surely hear a little more about them!

Photographer

What a journey this has been! I got my first camera in high school - before the days of digital.  I wasted a ton of film and would die if anyone saw those photos now!  My husband surprised me with my first DSLR camera somewhere around 2008 and I fell in love.  In 2010, the birth of our youngest daughter spurred me to learn more. It's been a continuous process of learning ever since. I truly believe in being a life long learner, always pushing myself to learn more.

If there is one thing I have learned in life it's that we never know what tomorrow holds.  I understand that every portrait I take will someday be invaluable to loved ones. It is my joy to provide those images for you.

Jimmy and I met when I was 13 and he was 17.  He's the only guy I ever dated.

I don't like coffee.. in any form.  There.. I said it. I mean, I wish I did because I love the atmosphere at local coffee shops and meet clients there often. I just don't drink the coffee!

I love a Sunday afternoon nap. I rarely get them these days, but when I do.. man, oh man.. do I feel refreshed and ready to conquer the next week!

Beach or Mountains?
Well it's actually a toss up for me.  I love them both so much.  Spring & Summer time, give me the beach.  But the mountains is where it's at in the Fall!

If I were granted three wishes
I would want:

1. Self Cleaning House
2. That I could Dance
3. That I could eat anything
without gaining weight
